"We're in a war, Mr. Brown..."
"We're in a war, Mr. Brown, against a ruthless and tricky enemy who will stop at nothing to destroy our way of life."

Imagine sitting in your living room, watching a movie made three decades ago, and hearing that line.

My wife and I did; we immediately turned and faced each other as if we weren't certain we heard it. Are Bush and Co. working from this film's script?

And, can you identify the film?

Reefer Madness is older than this film.

4. No, but...
...that one seems less outrageous with each passing year, doesn't it? (Shudder)

6. You are right...
...though he wasn't in that particular scene.

Hint: It's one of the few movies Allen starred in but didn't write or direct.

8. "The Front" (1976):
Woody Allen plays a cashier who poses as a writer for blacklisted talents to submit their work through during the McCarthy witch-hunt.

Zero Mostel plays Hecky Brown, the "Mr. Brown" in the quote.

7. Answer:
I'm off to bed, and even though this thread isn't attracting a lot of attention, I thought it'd be uncool not to provide some closure:

It's "The Front" (1976).
