Today we drove from Chicago to Iowa City to pick up our new puppy, a 7-week-old Braque de Bourbonnais! Have a look!

They look a bit like a German shorthair pointer... Male or female? Beautiful pup!!!

and yes, they do look like German shorthaired pointers, but they're smaller--they grow to be about 40 lbs.

Prepare to part with a few hundred bucks. However, breeders are very few and take a keen interest in their progeny, so they'll be very friendly and helpful.

Little forradalom is 4 1/2 years old. Technically, in our case, it's a Hanukkah present, but hey! it's a holiday thing all the same.
