2. Ya forgot the best one: No Matter What, by Badfinger
Not the best song, though I like it a lot, but the best fake ending (or maybe the longest). Still gets me all these years later.

The 90s and Aughts equivalent seems to be for singer/songwriters to leave a minute blank after the last song listed on a cd, then add a bonus song that's part of the same track. Perpetrators include Lyle Lovett, Robert Earl Keen, John Wesley Harding, and Steve Wynn. Sorta like Train In Vain on London Calling.

5. You forgot the most infamous "bonus track" of the 90's
Nirvana's Nevermind album which has about 10 minutes of dead air, and then finishes up with about 2 minutes of pure noise.

Or the runner up, Nine inch Nails "Broken" EP which was appropriately named, because that's what you thought was happenning to your CD player when it started playing about 95 half-second tracks of silence before getting to the last 2 tracks which were actual songs (including the Adam Ant cover "You're so Physical"

7. In a similar vein...
Too Much Joy, on Gods and Sods, put 10 10-second blank tracks before their infamous cover of "Fuck Shop" by 2 Live Crew. I think they were more trying to make sure people didn't play it by accident (twice, I mean).

Exene, as Auntie Christ, put the entire album onto a final bonus track. Great at parties when you want people to leave. (Ok, that was mean.)
