1. Congrats on the win.
but WAY TO MUCH celebrating by SOME defensive players. I hate that, and anyone who does it. :grr:

25. I don't really like them as a team, even though..
they are in the same state as me. I don't think you can take much from that game. But they could be good again, if not Super Bowl winner - Cowher instills a winning attitude.

2. Our secretary has a HUGE crush on Troy.
She has his picture all over her office. She is in her sixties - it's pretty funny.

10. Way to go Steelers
I'm so glad the Steelers won last night, the city needed it after losing the mayor. Yesterday was filled with mixed emotions, I laughed and cried watching the funeral of Mayor O'Connor and cheered and danced watching the Steelers win.

16. I had a little extra time
so I went to the Cathedral and stood outside for a while. The horse drawn cortege was something - I've never seen anything like that. It reminded me of something from Joyce's Ulysses. And I liked how they drove the hearse around town to places he loved. I thought that was very cool.

17. A surrealistic moment on the gridiron
or is that "gridahrn" in the 'Burgh? :-)

I almost hate to bring this up among Stillers fans, but -- remember the infamous Thanksgiving "coin toss" game? How could you forget? :eyes: And remember who the quarterback was for the dreaded Detroit Lions?

Some fellow named Batch. Charlie, I think.

Once again, truth proves itself to be stranger than fiction.

21. Charlie Batch is already one of the most beloved QB's in Steelers History
It's almost absurd. He's started 3 games for us, and won all 3. Talk about a good job performance. Also he's a local Pittsburgher, which helps his stature. Also a team player. He signed on with the Steelers without even testing the market because he'd rather stay here as a backup than try competeting as a starter again, even though he's obviously capable (he outplayed Culpepper didn't he?).

I've only reconnected with football this year since my son has been bitten by the Steeler/football bug. ;)

I think Batch did well for the two games he qb'ed last year....

I blame Sat. Night Live, otherwise I would never have known who they were.

I like the Cubs, too, actually.
