Important news:Lohan's Hermes handbag stolen at Heathrow. 1mil in jewels
LOS ANGELES - Film star Lindsay Lohan had a handbag stolen at London’s Heathrow airport Thursday, her spokeswoman said.

Celebrity Web site TMZ.com said the "Mean Girls" star reported the theft of the Hermes Birkin handbag to officials at Scotland Yard.

"It is alleged that as the woman exited the Terminal One building, she noticed that an orange Hermès handbag was missing from her suitcase trolley,” Scotland Yard told TMZ.com.

The bag, according to police, contained "a quantity of jewelry,” and sources told the celebrity site that the contents of the bag total upwards of $1 million.

“She is begging for the return of the items,” Lohan's spokeswoman, Leslie Sloane, told the Web site, adding that “she doesn’t care how she gets them back, she just wants her stuff back.”

1. Did she declare those jewels at customs?
Somehow I doubt she declared the 1 mil in jewels in her purse. This is what happens when your cheap rich.

Good riddance.

2. If you carry $1 mil worth of jewels around in your expensive handbag,
they WILL be stolen. 'Nuff said. :P

8. Exactly. Doesn't matter that the jewels were or weren't in there (but talk
about stupidity if they were), how many of us women would let go of any handbag at Heathrow, much less a Hermes?

I just got back from there and clung to my 9 year old like he was handcuffed to me and he has the ability to defend himself!

For such a busy airport, it's crowded and nasty and icky.

3. If I had a Hermes Birkin bag filled with 1mil in jewels
that thing would not come unattached from my hand even if I was in the crapper doing my thing.

9. The bag itself is worth like 12k
Sorry, I have no compassion for her loss here. Forget the 1 million in jewels, if I had something worth 12k I wouldn't just put it on my luggage trolley and not pay attention to it. Sure I might put it on, but I'd keep it in front of me or something, in eyesight. Or just not sitting out in the open.

Just goes to show you how lopsided wealth distribution is too. She's got so much money she'd literally put a million dollars worth of jewels in a 12 thousand dollar bag and then not pay attention to it or keep it in hand. Honey, if you do that you've got way too much cash and are way to fucking stupid to keep it.

10. I will say this much - I absolutely adore the style of the Birkin Bag
I mean, I'll never be able to afford the $12k to buy one but perhaps but I have been looking for a knock-off, not of Hermes but just of a more common everyday name in purse that has similiar stylings

7. Does she deserve to have her purse stolen? No.
Am I just a bit satisfied that she's feeling stupid? You betcha.

Perhaps she'll hit beat her head against a wall and knock some sense into it.

OTOH, there may be too much alcohol absorbed there to matter.

11. I still have to laugh at how Ms. Lohen uses her severe Asthma as an excuse
When it's well documented that she is a heavy smoker. Recently, some of the movie chiefs complained about Lindsay not showing up for work on time, and she said it was due to her Asthma and how hot outside it was. But if she is that concerned about taking care of her asthma she needs to give up her heavy smoking, which is probably the biggest culprit to her attacks.

Asthma is not a funny disease and why someone who has such a severe case of it still chooses to smoke is beyond me.

12. Yeah Seriously
I have asthma and I smoked for years with it. After I quit smoking I didn't need to use my Advair anymore and only rarely use my Albuterol.

Still, it would suck to fly overseas and then not be without my asthma medication. Maybe I shouldn't keep it next to my millions of dollars worth of jewlery in my 12k bag which i'm not watching in a crowded public area...

You're right though. If you have asthma that's so bad that it affects you showing up for work on time, you need to stop smoking. I don't think that's the case with her though. I think she just uses it as an excuse because she parties harder than Paris Hilton and regularly wakes up stoned, hung over, or still drunk.

13. So which one will be in rehab first?
Paris or Lindsay

Or perhaps the Olsen twins have already booked their suite at Betty Ford

15. My money is on Lindsay
It's like this...

You ever know someone who was an insane partier or drug user? They're the ones who always had pot in college and even did heroin, drank constantly, did any drug they could find? That's Paris.

Then that guy meets a younger otherwise clean person who gets into the same shit, but eventually goes even further than the insane partier who seems to be able to somehow balance that shit in his life, and the new guy goes right down the drain? That's Lindsay.

Lindsay will end up in Rehab first, and probably make a few trips back there. Paris will probably one day just clean up on her own with no help whatsoever.

That's my bet.

19. Smoking keeps her thin.
I work at a major movie studio and always see actors and actresses walking around the lot or hanging out by their trailers. I would say that about 75% of the time, they are smoking.
