"LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Celebrity Paris Hilton was arrested in Hollywood early on Thursday on suspicion of drunk driving, Los Angeles police said.

Police pulled the hotel heiress over and tested her for intoxication after seeing her drive erratically, Los Angeles police officer Robert Andreno told Reuters.

"She was arrested so, yes, she failed the sobriety test," said Andreno.

Los Angeles police spokeswoman Marjan Mobasser said Hilton was stopped by traffic officers in the Hollywood area around 1 a.m. "

When you have that kind of money you don't ever have to buy your drugs in an alley, pick up a hooker on a street corner or drive yourself home from the party. And you can't tell me they do those things to experience life with the commoners.

Actually, the LAPD says a photo will not be released:

Cops took a booking photo, which an LAPD spokesperson says will not be released. An LAPD source would not confirm if Paris glammed it up for the camera, but revealed "It doesn't look like Nick Nolte."

There was news just recently that Paris was DENIED ENTRY to the NYC club, "Bungalow 8" where a private party was occuring in connection with the MTV Video/Music Awards. How could they do that to her?!?! For Paris Hilton, to be turned away at the velvet ropes by some bouncer must have been humiliating and emotionally devastating. This must have led to her DWI.

It's things like this that really bring home to me how this world of ours is founded on nothing more than injustice and cruelty.
