DISCLAIMER:

the following written material is purely the opinion of the author and is not intended to disparage or alienate any possible constituency who might read it.

i think i'm working on a (censored): i'm drawn to the nebulous concept of women which includes all body types and is completely neutral with regard to any possible construal of identification.

just kidding, but really, i don't know the appropriate terminology, but a nebulous concept of woman devoid of any characterization or focus for my personal taste is SOOOO much more sexy than a woman who does not characterize the nebulous concept of woman devoid of any characterization or focus for my personal taste.

4. i'll settle for "i can put up with their shit."
i understand the love thing, but i don't get all goo goo over it anymore.

it's strange, i used to be a very jealous person until i realized that you can NEVER possess a woman. you can be with her, you can do for her, she can do for you, but the minute you start putting the hooks in, that's the exact minute she becomes an object and not a dynamic force.

5. "woman who looks like a woman"
What the fuck? If you insulted fat women by saying that they don't look like women it would be deleted. What the hell makes you think you can insult trim, healthy women in such a way? :grr:

6. trim women get more than enough attention
Edited on Wed Sep-06-06 05:46 PM by datasuspect
in fact, 100% of this culture's concept of female beauty centers on the trim, skinny woman. and it sure does a lot to fuck up quite a few women's self-image.

is that not enough attention?

and anyway, it is simply my opinion, sorry i can't think of every possible way to word something in such a way that i don't offend every possible person who might read it. jesus christ, i have my self-censor on overdrive lately, but christ in dallas, can't people just let things ride anymore. THIS IS A LIGHTHEARTED POST. IT IS ONE PERSON'S OPINION.

do people live in vacuums? jesus, there are so many people out there with millions of views, we cannot all be accordance with what potentially MIGHT piss someone off.

fuck. THAT is the shit I am getting sick of.

7. I don't give a damn about your attention
but as a small woman I hear those kind of insults a lot and have since I was a very young child. It's no more right to insult small women than large ones. What you're saying is insulting, so stop trying to present it as some sort of affirmitive action for what a friend of mine refers to as "women of substance" and realize that when you insult any woman based on her body's shape you are in the wrong.

PS Don't worry, the media has ways of telling small women that theier bodies are horribly flawed too.

PERSONALLY.

jesus fucking shit.

and just by reading your subject header, i know you are so pissed you didn't even bother to read what i said. i was talking about the culture we live in, not MY particular attention.

9. No, you're insulting all small women,
a group that happens to include me, by implying that they are not real women or sufficiently feminine.

This is rude and insulting behavior.

10. give me a fucking break
nowhere did i say that. you are reaching.

don't like it? doesn't apply to you?

don't read it.

i'm not going to conform for you.

and anyway, i have no beef with you.

save your outrage for something important.

on second thought, what would make you happy?

tell me the edit and i will do as you instruct. write the completely neutral thing you want me to write and i will write it. disabuse me of my erroneous notions. teach me the proper way to write something so that there is ZERO chance of me offending ANY POSSIBLE PERSON WHO READS IT.

i'm dead serious. include all the appropriate qualifications and disclaimers too.

and don't say you don't care, otherwise you wouldn't be so indignant.

12. the insulting part is "woman who looks like a woman and not like a teenage
boy."

To imply that women should look only one way and conform to your standard of beauty to be feminine is highly insulting.

For what it's worth, I'd tell you the same damn thing if you were insulting fat women and praising thin ones.

20. I gotta agree with LeftyMom's logic, here - if it's insulting to say that
fat women don't have a proper body shape, it's also insulting to say that thin small women don't have a proper womanly shape.

I think it's okay to say "I find fat women unattractive" or "I find thin women unattractive" (given the proper context), but not okay to say "fat women are unattractive" or "thin women have the wrong body shape", etc.

17. Uh, ok. It was explained to me recently by a co-worker married
to a Greek man, that men from many European countries appreciate women as "WOMEN",
that all women are beautiful because they are "WOMEN" and not just because of a
certain body type. Is that sort of what you're trying to describe???
