DU crockpot users! Need your best recipe!
I've found that most crockpot recipes are too complicated, require me to buy too many ingredients I never use, or just plain vile sounding.

What's your best crockpot dish? We're only 2 people at home so I ain't cooking for a crowd but I would like to have some that will last for more than one meal.

1. Crockpot spaghetti
It doesn't sound like much, but tastes like baked spaghetti. We serve it when people come over. They fall on it.

Boil spaghetti noodles sufficient for number of people eating
1 jar sauce of your choice
1 can diced tomatoes
teaspoon minced garlic
parsley to taste
1 can tomato paste (makes it a bit thicker; it's up to you.)
you can also add pre-browned ground beef, if you'd like

Stir to coat spaghetti in sauce and tomato mixture.Cook on "low" 4-6 hours and serve with shredded parmesan and garlic bread. It's great for a chilly day, or big group of people.

2. Cook on low a pork loin in Cattlemans barbecue sauce for three hours.
Remove the loin and cut in thin slices. Return to sauce for two hours.

Serve on grilled potato buns topped with cole slaw.

3. Can't do the buns (spouse is pre-diabetic) but this sounds great!
I keep seeing pork loins on sale and wondered if I had to do a fancy recipe (Martha Stewart has one that would drive you crazy it is so complicated). That's a great idea. Cole Slaw with it sounds terrific. I'm doing this next week!

4. green chili pork
big chunk o pork - cook for a few hours and skim off most of liquid - add a can of green chili enchilada sauce and cook a couple more hours - all on low. Serve on warm tortillas (I prefer corn but flour are fine) with fresh chopped cabbage, pico de gallo, cilantro or whatever. Or make burritos. or just eat with a fork and some rice and refries.


bbq meat - any meat - pork, chicken, beef ame as above but add bbq sauce


stews, pot roast, anything that takes a while to cook is perfect for the crock pot.
