I can't believe how slow it is on DU tonight. Normally, it's busier even at this time of the day/night.

Bleh.

11. Why so late for you?
Until college, I never had school on my birthday, because it fell during February break.

7. Good evening. Here's another crazy customer story for you.
There used to be one regular customer who, not only dressed like Anne Rice at all times, but used to tell me every time she saw me (almost daily) that she could see my "aura" seeping out through my tattoos and piercings. Yep, I've got a seeping aura. So anytime I felt like crap, one of my coworkers would blame it on the fact that my aura had been seeping out for years.

18. Thats hiliarious...:)
Most of my jobs have been in service industries, primarily food services...and I got a few stories.

I use to work at a deli/oriental express at Carrs Grocery, and one of the dishes on the OE side was Szewhan beef/chicken, and a customer comes up and asks if the Szewhan was hot, to which I replied, yes it is...so the customer goes, yeah, I like hot food, and ordered some. Fifteen minutes later, that same customer, with the store manager in tow come up to the deli, and the customer was bitching that the Szewhan was to hot....and the manager was like, well, what do you have to say? I told the manager that I told the customer that it was "hot" and that the customer gleefully ordered it....we ended up getting our asses chewed for making Szhewan to hot....:(

Another one...A guy came up to the deli(same store/job) and ordered an Old Seattle sandwich...and I asked the guy if he wanted anything else on it, because half the time, people want more sunflower seeds, or something else on it...and the guy says "yes, I want some tree's on it"....I stood there speechless...I said, please repeat that..."I want some tree's on it, whats so hard to understand!" I stood their paralyzed because I thought I was talking to a complete idiot, and when you are confronted by a complete idiot sometimes you just have to sit and stare...

The guy stares at me for a few minutes, and then walks away....:)

25. Could he have been saying "cheese" with an accent?
Here's a dumb customer request courtesy of my dad. When I was a kid, we had a German Shepherd/Pit bull mix. She had shepherd coloring, coat and ears, but her build was closer to a pit's. Her face was the sterotypical black muzzle, tan forehead with a black star-shaped mark on her forehead. My mom called that mark, the "Lucky Star," mostly because that dog would have been abused, sick and dead on the streets, if my dad hadn't (oddly enough) hit her with a car and taken her in.

Anyway, when we had to put her down, it was decided that we'd get a purebred Shepherd. My mom said that she wanted to get one with a "Lucky Star" just like Jaycee. So my father set out calling up all the German Shepherd breeders listed in the area asking them if they had any dogs for sale with the "Lucky Star." Obviously, no one knew what the fuck he was talking about. Most thought it was a prank call, but some seemed to think it was some new trait they were being bred for. So over dinner he tells us that he spent the whole day on the phone trying to find a dog with a "Lucky Star" but all the breeders thought he was crazy and some even hung up on him. None of us could believe that he thought it was an actual trait for a German Shepherd. We did end up buying a German Shepherd shortly afterwards, but her face never lightened enough to have a real "Lucky Star."

31. Great story
I am pretty sure, he said trees...I would bet my whole stash of comics on it...:) And to boot, my friend Jason was there, and he confirmed it for me...when the guy walked off...we were like, "did he say he wanted Tree's on his sandwich?".....:) But, of course we both could've been totally wrong...and in that case, I was the idiot...:)

15. Well, since I moved back home a few months ago...
I don't really have my own living room and I'm pretty sure my parents would not appreciate me playing campout in their living room. Of course, I could always set it up in my bedroom, put my futon inside and play campout in here.

Although in actuality, I'll probably camp a couple times, perhaps take it to a music festival, and then it will inhabit that back of my Jeep without moving until I get rid of the Jeep.

20. Even though I have breasts and enjoy looking at the breasts of others...
I have no interest in the "Girls Gone Wild" videos. I have issues with having drunk girls sign away their rights to appear naked on some cheap video. I wish those videos would just go away. Keep the legitimate porn, but there's no need for that.

Yeah, the bread thing is just bizarre. We get our bread from the store. The windows are open, but there's still no reason for it to be coming from outside. I live in the middle of the fucking woods and I don't think the resident mama bear is baking for her three cubs.

the only "bread" we have here is an ancient (yet not moldy) loaf of Wonder Bread. None of us eat Wonder Bread.

Actually, I like rye bread. However, I believe that if you're somehow consuming over 25lbs of the grain a month, it seems to result in psychosis and addiction. Some people are addicted to heroin. Others are addicted to rye grain. In my experience, the junkies are easier to deal with.

Funny thing about rye bread...when I was growing up I couldn't stand it, but when I was 20 I got a taste for it, and its one of my most sought after breads...:) Sourdough/Rye bread are my top two favorites....:) Pumpernickel is up there too though...

As for Wonder Bread, I can't even remember the last time I ate Wonder Bread.
