He got up and did the whole song, with the car parked on the stage there, and during the song he tried to convince the backup singers, one at a time, to get in the car with him, and they all refused. I can't remember if he got a standing ovation at the end, but it was a rousing ovation anyway, and Regis, Brandy and Piers all gushed over it, and Hasselhoff was sweating buckets afterwards but seemed to be on cloud 9. I remember that the backup singers sounded better than Hasselhoff himself - I wanted to hear them sing more, not him.
