Are we going to need a GD: Crocodile Hunter forum?

All of the croc threads are overrunning GD. Case in point... I am creating at least 2. I am not sure why, but I am.

4. I'm suprised that Steve Irwin is getting so much attention on

this site. As random as his death was, the fact that his death is getting so much attention on DU is even more strange.

Reagan had all the bomb throwers out. I remember one guy said he wanted to piss on his casket from the top of the Capitol dome. Every post in GD was about Reagan. It was more intense.

That's only 25% of the total. It should be at least 50% before it earns its own forum

That way it wouldn't have to be modified every time the flame-fest inducing topic du-jour changed.

Steve might not have meant anything to you or you or you, but to some he was a 'friend'. and people on DU are mourning their 'friend' together.

we have had numerous thread when other "important" people have died; Johnny Cash, Joe Strummer, Carl Sagan just to name a few.

why should Irwin's passing be any different? it's not, because he really did mean an awful lot to some of us.

All events that don't belong in GD, have no political content and really don't have much room for DISCUSSION.


1- Personals. Unfortunate events for whomever---celebs or DUers.

2- News-of-the-weird. Bizarre accidents or events in the news.

3- Celeb freakshows: Michael JACKSON.
