Somebody please drag me by the ear into my kitchen.

7. Hiya Hypno :)
I'm doing my best to keep things civil, and it has worked v. well thus far. Yet I do balk at the celebration thing. I'm going to think of it as "for the kids." Oh, and "from" the kids I bought him a fake-fur steering wheel cover. He's gonna hate it!

6. A woman's place is in the kitchen.
How could you not want to cook a special meal for your special man?

Get in there!

STBE = soon-to-be-ex. Maybe not that soon, but the process is underway. I still like him though.

9. No no no no no! A woman's place is NOT in the kitchen!
It's in the bedroom, being treated very nicely by the man who's about to impregnate her. :scared:

I'm so glad it's not 1946 anymore...

Almost. Middle class folks had more of a future back then...

12. Why should he treat her nicely?
Women aren't supposed to have pleasure or anything. They're just supposed to lay there and take their special man's super baby juice.

15. Daintily put.
"Super baby juice"

Mind you, from what I've been reading, if she likes it, he'll like it more... still, what am I reading...?

But I can see it in the market now: "Gerber brand super baby juice! Now with twice as much protein yet half the calories! Build up that super army right! With Gerber!"

23. Oh no.
This is how he is: if I make burritos, I can't make them with purchased tortillas because "the homemade ones are so much better." He won't eat a cake made from a box but I must make the darned thing from scratch A-Z. Man, he's going to miss me, isn't he? Poor fellow.

He's making huge changes in his way of being, but it's too late for us. I don't love him with everything I've got. Just enough to bake on a quiet Sunday afternoon...

31. LOL. I don't know if I mentioned
that he did two loads of laundry last week. That'd be load three and four of our seventeen years together. Oh, and you need to know that he gets FOUR months off each summer, during which vacation he is alarmingly unhelpful (but always "working" and making sure you know it.} Okay, I'll stop being mean. He's looking sad lately and that is probably why I'm going through the birthday celebration thing.

I'd like to see that good karma kick in, in the relationship sense. But I've got a lot to do while waiting, so I won't whine too much about it.
