We had one for four days one when lightning blew out our power transformer and it needed a special order part beause I lived in an old building at the time. That was really craptastic.

Fuckin' Comcast is right. When they were rewiring my street they disconnected their old cable to my house at the pole and were going to drive away with the wire hanging down from my house to the driveway. That was a fun day.

33. Oh, I think I can top that.

Last month they came by with no warning to tell me that thier original installation was temporary and not up to code and that they needed to sink a cable. Instead of doing it through the grass like sane people they cut a section out of my driveway, including the nice decorative bit, filled it all in with some awful looking cheap crack filler. Then they hung the line up on the front of my house and left. A month ago. I'm still using the not up to code temporary line and they don't appear to be coming back. Fine with me really, God only knows how much more damage they'll cause if they show up again.

Seriously, your sort of story has 'CONSUMER REPORTER INVESTIGATES' written all over it and corporate types abhor bad PR.

We had nothing but bad service from Comcast and they always blamed the problem on bad equipment or work done by the previous cable company. My feeling is, too bad. You buy the company, you buy its problems --now fix them.

6 years and we've never had a problem with Comcast, Comcast's customer service, or the guys they've sent out to repair any problems.

They give us the Phillies, Flyers, and Sixers and all of our Sports coverage...:shrug:
