5. Steven Seagal once anounced that he had just finished
reading "the greatest script in the world".

When asked who wrote it he repied with a straight (steven seagal) face "I did".

7. I work at Warner Bros. and we used to see this pompous ass all the time.
I worked in the Sound Department and he would come in to do ADR (re-reading of lines for a movie). He had this limo that dropped him off. One day we watched as he got out of the car, reached in the car and grabbed a 9mm pistol and tucked it into his pants. He covered it with his shirt and walked in.

One other time Fleetwood Mac was rehearsing on one of our stages for a concert to be filmed later that week. A bunch of us were standing there watching them when this group of guys pushes through the crowd without saying "excuse me" or anything. We all recognized the big idiot leading the way and it was Steven Seagal. When they left, they did the same thing. What a dick.

8. I worked with someone who was a stuntwoman on the movie (not
sure which one) that Seagal was working on when he challenged a much older stuntman to a fight and lost, wetting his pants in the process. The story's all over the Internet now, in different versions, but back then it wasn't widely known and when she told me of it (it'd only happened a week or two before) it was the first I'd heard of it. Here's one short recap of a couple of versions:

http://www.portlandmercury.com/blogtown/2006/05/seagal_pisses_self.php

What she told me was closer to the second version, with Segal boasting that he could escape from any choke hold and take out any of the fighters working on that film. He wasn't just idly boasting, he was being in people's faces for quite a while and being very belligerent and full of how 'bad' he was. The stunt guys, at least, hated him. Judo Gene LeBelle was an old-time stuntman and martial arts champ and he took the blowhard down in a flash, knocking him out.

I think Seagal's an a***hole. I've never met him, but that story confirmed what I already knew of him. He is actually a master of aikido, but he embodies none of the ideals of traditional martial arts in the way he comports himself and his ego knows no bounds. His martial arts legitimacy, too, has ben tainted in that he manufactured claims as to who, exactly, trained him, and has inflated his background to more properly fit his ego. So, yeah, he's a real and accomplished martial artist, but not as much as he says he is. Jean Claude van Dummy -- another raving egomaniac -- is the same way, though far less an actual martial artist. It's fitting Jean Claude was in a film (Bloodsport) about one of the martial arts community's biggest charlatans, that f***wit Frank Dux, actually.

Seagal also has made claims about being a CIA operative that were stories stolen from the real life of a friend (well, an ex-friend, now) of his. Yep, old Steve wasn't satisfied with his past history so he co-opted that of someone he thought had led a more interesting life.

What a doofus.

I'd have love to have been there to see him humbled and wetting his pants.

9. If he's never produced one, I'd agree with you (defining "made" as
"produced," not as "acted in").
