Post a Pic of your favorite team's home field
Edited on Sat Sep-02-06 11:54 AM by fishwax
At long last, college football is back. This is a pic of Owen Field/Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, home of the Sooners:

It's a great place to spend a Saturday :):bounce::toast:

So where does your favorite team call home?

4. I get a good feeling just driving around it
I've just finished my first summer in illinois (moved here last year), and I haven't had a chance to take in a game there yet, but it's definitely on my list of things to do while i live here. :):toast:

17. Saw a Cards - Cubs game there
The 1st time I ever went to Chicago. We rode the El from a hotel over by Ohare to the stadium with my Aunt and Uncle. Had an authentic Chicago dog before the game. Almost caught a foul ball. Cards won. Great day and a unique experience for a small town girl.

5. I'd love to see a game there
Perhaps when the Sooners play there again in 2016 or 2017. :)

I wasn't around for the Oklahoma-Ohio State classics of the 70s, but I couldn't count how many times I've seen video highlights of the OU game in the 'shoe, when Uwe Von Schuman kicked a game-winning field goal at the end.

The buckeyes should have a great year this year :toast:

Edited on Sat Sep-02-06 06:42 PM by jus_the_facts
....thanks for the memories!! :woohoo: :bounce: :woohoo: :bounce:

There’s nothing like LSU’s Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night. The stadium, popularly known as “Death Valley,” is considered by opposing teams as one of the most difficult stadiums in which to play because of fan enthusiasm. With the 2000 expansion, the stadium seats 91,644 spectators and is the fourth largest on-campus college football stadium in the country. Perhaps one of the most famous moments in Death Valley history took place on “The Night the Tigers Moved the Earth,” October 8, 1988. It was on that night, when Tommy Hodson threw to Eddie Fuller for the winning touchdown against Auburn, that the explosion of the crowd was so thunderous it caused an earth tremor that registered on a seismograph meter in LSU’s Department of Geology & Geophysics across campus.
