Extra-butter popcorn w/ lots of transfats. And you?
What quickly prepared, calorie laden garbage food do you like to eat when you have the urge to degrade your body?

1. The only really junk food thing I eat is Salsa Doritos or Ben & Jerry's.
I honestly eat pretty damn healthy most of the time.

Having worked at a movie theatre after HS, I will never put their "butter" on popcorn EVER.

5. I know that shit's poison.
I also had cheap ice cream tonight, although I'm not certain that B&J's is the healthier alternative. Thank the deity for a speedy metabolism. Hope the heart is as resilient.

12. At least Ben & Jerry's has an organic line.
Honestly, most of the ice cream I eat is soy ice cream. It's not any lower in fat or calories, but I think it's best to avoid dairy overall.

I have a fast enough metabolism where I can eat anything I want though, so I'm lucky in that way.

17. Organic is good.
I was born thin and stayed that way until my third child. I blame him for the creepy pad of ick on my stomach. But alas it's only a matter of time. Not for you, I hope for your sake.

30. I don't plan on having children.
However, my mom appears to still be holding a grudge against me. She was 105lbs until she got pregnant with me. She's 125lbs now. Oh yeah, and she's 5'7", in her 50s and still pulls off a bikini.

I got my general look and my personality from my dad, but it seems that my metabolism and young looks from my mom. Overall, I think that's a good deal.

34. I think I have my father's body and metabolism. My mind and
personality... it's a combination with leanings toward my analytical father as I get older and harder. As for not having kids - although I mourn the passing of the flat abdomen, I really can't complain about the cause, but I don't believe that having kids is anybody's purpose. Your mother sounds like a lucky woman. Lucky and perhaps v. energetic?

It's a battle as you get older, no matter who you take after. Attitude makes a tremendous difference though.

40. She used to do absolutely nothing.
Once my married my stepdad (my dad died), she suddenly got into all sorts of outdoor activities. He's really into water sports, skiing, ATVing et cetera and now my mom is as well. Previously, she just did karate with me. Damn...I can't wait until I test her for her black belt. She's been putting it off for about four years now, pretty much just to avoid the testing.

43. Yeah, I just read about you and your punching
bag in Redstone's thread.

So, is you Mom thin because of her genetic makeup, or because of her outdoor activities? I'm kinda screwed, because I have rheumatoid arthritis. A surgery prevents situps. I'm very lucky that I'm built as I am. So your mom: is she in shape because she keeps active, or because she's into her outdoor activities?

You? A black belt? or just doing it for the entertainment of it all?

46. Nah, she was always thin.
She doesn't need to exercise really. Yeah, I got my black belt when I was 17 in isshinryu karate. I'm a ni-dan (2nd degree) now. If I went more consistently, I'd be a san-dan (3rd degree). I have some issues with my instructor, so I'm pretty much looking into a new school. I plan on trying out a kyokushin school soon. They're heavy on full-contact sparring and I'm mostly in the martial arts because I like to fight. I'm awesome at my forms, but in actuality, I'm in it for the fighting. The weapons are fun, too.

50. You can do it.
It's always a good time to start. A good instructor will work with anyone's physical abilities. My instructor has several physical restraints and I know of people in wheelchairs who practice the martial arts even.

Go for it!

24. Those are, of course, the best...
Our next door neighbor in CT has a chocolate company that is simply amazing and there is a place called "Rose City Chocolatier" one town over from our home in NJ that even has a line of awesome vegan truffles. They are so rich and creamy that no one would know they don't even contain dairy or eggs.

I'm a fan of the Dagoba because I love spicy chocolate. Chilies and chocolate are a suprisingly good combo.

51. from many places
some of my favorites are fat fries from fatburger, wendy's, wienershnitzel's chili cheese fries, in and out. i also like mcdonalds, burger king etc.

one thing i have learned is to get kids meals if i feel like some junk food but don't want too much of it. it satisfies the cravings without eating too much ofit.

i bet the kid's meal sizes are probably what the normal size was years ago before all the portions got larger while still having super sizes.
