2. Sure
I'm doing the Saturday at 6-8AM shift at WWSP 89.9

We're one of the most powerful campus stations in the midwest. We can ber hard about 30-40mi away from Stevens Point, once we get our transmitter upgrade, we'll be able to be heard as far away as parts of Appleton. W'ere a college radio format. I'm not sure what kind of music I'll be spinning, but I will be beginning our broadcast day. (I figure I'll use Hendrix's version of the National anthem to open up, If I'm allowed to.)

You can listen to 90fm live here: http://www.uwsp.edu/stuorg/wwsp/

4. We used to use Jaco Pastorius' version of "America"...
See if you can find it -- it is awesome.

3. Congratulations!! I was a college dj many moons ago...
My first shift was from 4am - 7am and I thought I was "the shit."

The cool thing was, my program director had the show after me and used to listen to my show before he came in. He would tell me, "You don't belong on that shift -- you do a good show. I need to get you a better shift."

The next semester I had Mondays 4pm-7pm. Man, I miss being on the radio. I met some of the coolest people while working at the station, and I learned so much about music.

Good luck!!

6. Heck, I got promoted to morning drive because the jock didn't show one day
I was doing a 3-6 graveyard at WYBC in New Haven. We had New Rock (punk, new wave) 11-3 and jazz all day starting at 6. So I'd do an hour of New Rock, an hour of mostly classic rock that had been in the archives since the '70s, then an hour of jazz. Well, don't you know, one day the jazz jock doesn't show for his shift. So I just kept on playing more jazz, and the jazz director liked what she heard. I was on my way!

8. Sundays were all jazz at our station. I stayed at school the summer
before my senior year and we kept the station going. We had a skeleton crew so we wera all doing at least 4 shows a week. I did a couple of Jazz Sunday fill-ins and soon became the person the Jazz jocks called when they needed a fill-in. I loved doing the all jazz shows.

I would love to get back into radio somehow. The cool thing about our station was that people from the community could pay an activity fee to the college and they could become members of the station. We had a few jocks who weren't students. It would be great to find something like that.

7. Actually, I'm before a popular oldies show.
It's hosted by the same guy who organizes the big trivia contest every year.
