Oh heck.

Even if you've never heard of Bob Rivers, this URL with one of his songs is howlingly funny.

1. Bob Rivers
I've heard of Bob Rivers, he's done a lot of good stuff.

If you use a Peer to Peer program like Kaaza, do a search for Tom Mabe and Touchtone Terrorist for more funny stuff.

For( R )Rated comedy, do a search for John Valby and George Carlin.

2. Mabe has a site, too, with samples
Here: http://www.tommabe.com/album.php especially this one: http://www.tommabe.com/audio/carpet.mp3
Unfortunately, some of the other samples are Real Audio. If like me, you can't stand RA, you can always go to Amazon for other formats.

5. Real Files
I'm like you undisclosedlocation, I hate Real Audio files and RealPlayer. I now use RealAlternative to Play Real Media files.

6. Thanks! Am bookmarking!
I distrust Real Networks so much that I STILL would be inclined to avoid .ra files (once had to go spelunking all over my hard drive and registry to purge all Real references and get back control of my sound card), but Real Alternative is a good program to know about.

3. Bob Rivers website
I loved listening to him years ago from Baltimore, when I lived in Maryland. His parody songs are the best. Ever.

Just click on "The Vault" button on the left, or check out the recent ones in the Jukebox on the right of the screen.

4. Warning! --- Brace Yourself, Archae...

I was accused of being a racist for posting the same link. Well... I suppose that TECHNICALLY I wasn't accused of PERSONALLY being a racist, but the cartoon video was characterized as being "racist", and the implication was clear.
