Mrs Sniffa and I are curious...We're both about 30, and don't have one between us. We get carded for cigs all the time...What gives? Thoughts?

1. there are external factors
Edited on Fri Sep-01-06 09:54 AM by buddhamama
that can cause premature aging e.g. smoking; internal factors could be stress, poor diet...everyone's skin will respond differently.

having good genes helps to keep the wrinkles at bay, and taking good care of your skin.

2. What buddhamama said.
Smoking and too much sun will give you wrinkles. Good nutrition and plenty of water keep your skin nice. Good genes help, too. 30 is still pretty young. I'm almost 50 and don't have any ... but I have good genes. No one in my family has crows feet, even my 80-year-old mom. We all have oily skin, too, so it's a mixed blessing. My younger sister is a heavy smoker and has wrinkles around her mouth.

I don't get carded for drinks anymore, but I did until I was 40.

4. See?!
That's what I mean...I was at a party recently, and everyone thought I was 21...I wish! I'll be 30 in December. :D

Same goes for grey hair--genetic

6. I don't know.
I'm soon to be 60, and I still don't have many wrinkles, and only a very few white hairs.
