Why is "Sweet Home Alabama" the theme music in Kentucky Fried Chicken
commercials?

Don't those advertising people know that Alabama and Kentucky are not the same state?

6. Because people don't recognize Kentucky Fried Blues
face it most people wouldn't know how to find either state on the map, let alone the country.

8. It's KFC now
Apparently that no longer stands for Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Although, the concern was over the word "fried", not the Kentucky part.

9. They tried going with "Kitchen Fresh Chicken."
Which was utterly abominable. They may have already abandoned it.

10. fried chicken is a hallmark southern dish
so it is only natural to inform its meaning with the drug-addled lyrics of whiskey swilling, cocaine inhaling rock stars.
