Good Friday Morning, Crew!

:donut: :hi: :bounce: How is everyone this Friday? I hope you've had a good week. I've been sleeping on the job, I'm afraid. Just had to catch up on some rest. I know I'm really late today ... better late than never.

What are your weekend plans?

MissHoneychurch is ready to bounce out of her skin! :bounce: Yes, this is the weekend she comes to the USA! :woohoo: I know I'm excited! :bounce:

So let's get this day started, crew. Rise and shine! :grouphug:

5. Going all right
got to take a shower here in about 20 minutes, got a doc appointment this morning, but after that, I got nothing else better to do. As for the weekend, I am not sure...probably going to visit some of my wifes relatives on the Oklahoma side...:hi:

9. yeah
sort of, my blood level was a bit to thin last week, so I have to go back today to retest it...hopefully my blood level is in the right range...it sucks going back and forth, the clinic I go to is roughly an hour and ten minutes away, and gas isn't cheap, to be making multiple trips every week...its not really a doc appointment, but if my level is out of whack again, it will be seeing the doctor again.

6. Good Morning !
It is good to see you, AirmensMom ! :hi: I am glad you were able to get catch up on your sleep. You've been a very busy woman lately!

I don't have any definite plans for the weekend, gonna play it by ear. My son has a friend coming over to spend the night, maybe two...should be fun! :bounce:

10. Good morning, buddhamama!
:hi: :donut: Good to see you, too! :hi: I can't believe how much sleep I'm requiring these days ... but it's better to listen to your body, right?

Weekends that are played by ear have the potential for some nice surprises. :bounce: We're going to do the same thing. How old is your son? Will these be little boys or big boys?

18. it is always better to listen to your body
if it is sleep it wants, sleep you should give it. plus, let's face it, you've been doing a lot of physical labor - what with cleaning up yards, moving big rocks, etc., your body is gonna demand rest to recover.

my son is eleven and so is his friend. i'm thinking we'll watch a couple of movies, they'll play video games and quite possibly some football or frisbee in the park will happen also.

i hope you have a wonderful weekend loaded with lots of nice surprises. :bounce: :pals: :loveya:

12. Morning AirmensMom
Sleeping on the job? You? Doing all that digging entitles you to sleep in. That's exhausting work, but fun and rewarding as well.

No plans here. Well . . . that's all dependent upon getting my car back or not. I'm hoping I get it today, or I'm stuck out here in the middle of nowhere. I can always hop on a bike trail, but no hiking trails close enough to catch on foot. (boo hoo)

Anyway, as you can see, I slept in this morning too, and it sure does feel good. So glad I've got four days off.

I know MissH is excited! And I bet you're excited too. Been checking airfares, but they are even worse than b/4, but I think that's just because of this holiday weekend. Will keep trying for a few more days yet.

Airfares are worse? x( Well, I'm not giving up yet. :pals:

21. My work schedule?
LOL We're on summer hours. Supposed to work nine hours M-T then only four on Friday's. But I seem to be working around ten per day, UGH! Anyway, this way I only burn up four hours vacation, and get the whole day off, even though, technically, I've got compt time coming. That's why I don't feel guilty hopping onto DU during the work day.

22. Yep!
I used to do that when I lived in NY. But the culture in FL was totally different -- it was "permitted", but they all considered it slacking. They expected at least 10 hours EVERY day. If I got in at 6:00AM and left at 5:00, with no lunch break, I got comments like, "Half day?" x( I hated that place ... and the general public's view of that company is that it treats its workers SO well! x(

I'm glad it works out for you! :bounce: And you're not the only one who hops onto DU during the work day. :D

29. Oh, I do work extra
hours, but it is a nice place to work, and I really like my job. I've been working without an assistant since July, which compounds my workload, but I think we've finally found someone. Interviewed yesterday. One of the bosses would tell the interviewees, "you've got to impress SF first". Yes, I'm damned important there!

 I remember ... :P Someone comes for an interview all dressed up while we're sitting in our jeans and sneakers. Everyone's all awkward and polite. When they leave, the boss says, "Well, what did you think?" The guy in the suit always gets the job. I hope you're right about finally finding someone! :bounce:

Well, we're offering
her the job today. My only concern is wages. She asked me about them, but it's not my place to discuss that. She met with HR after me so I told her to discuss w/that dept. We're a non-profit so no one's getting rich here, but then she knows that before hand. Another concern is that she's moving from a management job to a lesser position. (bwahahahahahaha she'll have to answer to me! ) Her reasons are valid, just hope that she's sincere.
