5. Ooh, I don't know, D. . . .
Keep a close eye on your airline's website - start early. Our forcast says

tomorrow day: "Rain. Isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon. Rain may be heavy at times. Breezy with highs in the upper 60s. Northeast winds 20 to 30 mph."

tomorrow night: "Rain...may be heavy at times in the evening. Lows in the lower 60s. Northeast winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph."

If it's really rough, they'll be safe. You'll be inconvenienced, but not in scary barfy turbulence.

3. I'm in central NC with parents on the southern NC coast.
It's been rainy and somewhat windy here but my folks have really heard the wind howl and felt the gusts and they lost power (but it just came back on for them).

I'll be glad when Ernesto has blown itself out.

10. No, the eyewall just came ashore south of Wilmington NC
about an hour ago. It will not be fully out of NC until tomorrow morning, or so the weatherman says.

It's fucking up my Labor Day weekend
I'm not even bothering to go up to CT because it's expected to be in the 60s, rainy, windy, with high seas. So basically, there's no point in me driving pretty much to RI to sit in a cold, damp cabin without cable or internet. The beach we go to will pretty much be gone anyway in the storm. It's just a sand bar island.

25. Yup.
I'm hoping that next weekend will be nice and pretty warm, so I can head up there then. I'll probably head up there fishing a few times before the winter, but I really want one more beach weekend.

I saw a little of WRAL's newscast at 6 and the flooding up there last time around in your area was pretty rough.

Keep nice and dry up there.:pals:

33. I remember waiting last year for Rita to come, it was very
strange in Houston.

I took a last walk around the neighborhood taking pictures, later that night Rita turned east.

We still had wind and a little rain but nothing bad, I felt sorry for the folks trapped on I-10 by my house.

I had a house full of people staying over, 26 people, 5 cats, 7 dogs.

28. I'm in far, far, faarrr west NC and it started to rain early
this morning about 4am, didn't stop until about an hour ago. I think we'll still get some smatterings of rain, but hopefully it won't be gray all day tomorrow.

No wind, though. Too far west. But enjoy the breeze and the rain in MD!
