No joke. Not a delusion. Not anxiety. I'd otherwise say "fortunately", except someone else agrees with me that it's not anxiety. :D Which is unfortunate...

My specialist thinks it's time to get one because of ambient symptoms and because of my family history with heart conditions.

Wish me luck.

5. Good luck! That's the one with all the wires attached to the little
sticky things, right? I had one of those years ago - once I was half naked on the ice-table the technician fiddled around for 10 minutes, said "that ain't right," and walked out of the room... (The real doctor put everything right).

I think it's really good to have a baseline record - it will make it very easy for your doctor to easily detect any changes in the future...

6. I had one about 7 years ago...
But I'll keep an eye on things. For as often as I tend to get depressed, part of me really wants to live and excel - hence my exercising and soon-to-take trip to the Doc to get this done.

7. Is that when they stick those wires all over you?
I just had one of those, they said my heart rate was 100. Whatever that means.

Good luck with it.

8. If they mean pulse,
it's borderline fast. But your doc will know best what's normal or otherwise.

Another reason why I'm going. To get the facts and not piddle with hyperbole.

9. Yeah, she said it was on the high end of OK
I have an operation on Tues. so I would guess they would have called me by now to tell me there is a problem.

10. Of course I wish you luck
I'm a big believer in knowing what's really going on - seems like all my issues wind up being things that make doctors scratch their heads and say "dunno" which is maddening. Whenever I get a firm diagnosis, even if it's bad, I feel better. Anything's better than having symptoms but not knowing what the hell they mean.

11. I get one every 3 months. It takes longer to put the wires on you
than it does to take the test. Being a shy female, it's a bit embarassing to lay there topless for the 5 minutes it takes... but I've tachycardia and extremely high blood pressure with murmurs so it's worth it. Good luck Hypno!
