Squeech plays live in Boston
Time for another blatant self-promotion post.

Tomorrow night Tim Mungenast and his Pre-existing Conditions (for whom I play bass and sing a bit) will perform at Skybar, 518 Somerville Avenue in Somerville, MA.

As of this writing there is only one other band on the bill, but they're amazing: an instrumental prog rock band called Incandescent Sky. Guitar (with a zillion processors), keyboards, bass and drums. I believe the guitarist is a Crafty, i.e. he's taken Robert Fripp's Guitar Craft seminar.

With only two bands on the bill we're obviously gonna have to pull out all sorts of weirdness to flesh out the evening. I'm wondering if the Incandescent Sky guys know any of the genuine old prog that I half-remember, and moreover if they'd be open to embarrassing ourselves trying to get through it together-- an impromptu "Watcher of the Skies" could be wonderful fun, or an absolute disaster...

And we were going to play at Winnekenni Castle on September 3rd, which was to be the rain date from the August 20 show that got scrubbed, except I see where they're now forecasting rain on September 3 as well. I haven't been told officially that Sunday is off, but that's the way I'm gonna bet. Watch this space.

4. Hey , you're playing in my neighborhood.
Or I should say, one of my former neighborhoods. Now I live a bit too far away to take in the show.
