It was just a story/statement made by a friend's wife that kind of summed it all up as I posted it. I'm not frustrated.

She related how she shrieked at her husband, not for what he did, but because something innocent he did was just the "tipping point." She openly acknowledged that it was not his fault and that he did not deserve it.

But she also indicated that "this is how women are; it's your problem. Deal with it."

I do have my moments, but we can both joke around about it, after the fact of course. He can be guilty of the same. In a relationship, you shouldn't be nasty to someone, and then just say that's the way it is. You have to be big enough to say, I made a mistake.

Maybe that woman tends to respond verbally that way because she takes the guilt of blowing up over something little, when on the side of the relationship that no one else sees but the couple, the guy is a passive aggressive jerk...

But hey..I don't know, but do know one thing for sure: relationships are complicated no matter how simple they appear to be to those of us on the outside.

But it's not just how women are...It's how all of us are. I can remember my father bursting like a freaking volcano, apologizing, then justifying his response with, "I just can't take that mental torture".

Mr GoG goes through these grouchy phases where nobody can do anything right around here; and he never even apologizes.

And yeah, I do my share of bitching too.

It's just how people are, so we have to deal with it.

But it's ok if you need us to just deal with you for awhile, Floog... :hug:

Period.

But... I'll make you deal. If you come visit me I will assure you that you will have a pleasant female experience. I will treat you with respect and ask that you do so in kind. We'll do dinner - I will assure you a hot date with a deep, interesting conversation. Afterward, we will go for coffee and scones.

Then I will drop you off at the airport and from there you'll fly home. Hopefully, then, it will start you on a new journey of having quality experiences with grown women.
