So I stayed up late last night finishing my reading for Human Sexuality

OTOH, that gave me time to drop by the library and see if they had anything that would help with my research paper and to grab some testing materials I need next week from the bookstore, so I can't complain. :)

5. It's going pretty good.

I don't feel at all overwhelmed yet. For the most part I seem to have lucked into fairly easy instructors. My polisci teacher seems a bit more intent on challenging us, but I'm not having a hard time keeping up.

9. There was some reading on intersexed people that was new to me.

I didn't really know much about the different genetic anomalies that result in intersex and I definitely hadn't seen pictures before. That was really interesting, and reading about groups working for better acceptance of intersex children (rather than a drive to fix them) was very cool.

There was also a little bit on respectful treatment of transgendered persons I'm tempted to quote next time there's a flamewar about that.

So far I'm really liking the class.

but I learned so much when I took it years ago. It really is a good class that everyone should be required to take.

It's weird though, so many of the kids in the class (and they really are kids) are just out of high school. I feel odd being in the same room while they hear about sexual topics. I'm taking day classes though, I'm betting if I were there evenings there'd be more people my age or older.

15. Mine was a January term.

Most schools don't even offer those anymore. We had more serious students who stayed during the month of January and adults who could take a couple of weeks off for my class.

The atmosphere was much more serious.

Nah, I'll just remind myself how much fun ten months of pregnancy was when I was young, and how much more fun it'd be. Most days I think I've got my hands full with just LK anyhow. Today he's being good and reading some comics while I post, after having spent the day at the fair with my sister. I think now that I've got a reasonably cooperative kid who's so fun to talk to it'd be hard to get back in the baby groove.
