God I love this city.
The local news was talking about some North American tourist city list... Vancouver made it to the top ten. And when the story was over the anchor said, "Noticably missing on that list is Toronto."
HAHAHAHAHAH!
I love being in Vancouver and hating Toronto.

2. Yeah! Toronto SUCKS! I HATE Toronto!
Okay. Not really. I've never been to Toronto. I just wanted to get in on the intra-Canadian rivalry. :D

3. I might get a chance to visit Vancouver next year.
The deal is still in the works, but I told my boss that if it happens, I'm going. Cross your fingers, my arch nemesis, we will have a reckoning. (but first we will have many beers)

5. Why would there be a Vancouver/Toronto rivalry?
Aren't they on opposite sides of the continent? I'm sure glad I live in the U.S., where one state (pictured, at left) is so obviously superior that we have no need for these silly regional rivalries...
:P

6. California? Ewww, yuck.
Our main contention is just that Toronto sucks.

8. "just ... sucks" - that's pretty succinct
I imagine it's pretty hard to argue with: "do not!" "do too!!" "do not!!!" "do too!!!!"

Still, why Toronto? Why not Montreal, or Ottawa, or some other place that may or may not be in Canada?

7. It's not a Vancouver/Toronto rivalry
It's a Toronto/Not-Toronto rivalry.

9. Ah, so it's Toronto that feels superior, and Vancouverites hate Toronto
as a response to being looked down on?

10. Not quite.
Toronto, if your perspective is from outside Toronto, doesn't appear to look anywhere but inward at itself, much less do they "look down" on anyone else. And it's not so much a "hatred" as it is an emphatic groan.

And again, it's not only Vancouver. It's anywhere-that-isn't-Toronto.

At least, that's what I've surmised over 40-some years.

Clear as mud yet?

12. How can I resist such a kind request?
I've just started posting classic pinups for my sig pic. In case you've missed the first couple, here you go.

13. That's not really fair.
A couple of months ago, I once read an article in the Toronto Star about people who don't live in Toronto.
