6. Hello Triple R sorry I couldn't talk earlier

I am not leaving DU but I am taking a break from it.
Lately I have just felt that I have been rubbing people the wrong way.
Not you or any of the "naughty girls" I love you ladies and consider you all very dear friends.
I have tried to be nice and caring to everyone I come across.I even started a thread last night trying to help other duers feel more at home.And I got ridiculed for that.
I have a good sense of humor I really do but I have been getting pounded for my typo's/grammar
No one ever considers that there may be a physical reason for my typo's.. well there is it's called a work related incident where i lost my right index finger..Try finding your home keys with 9 freak-en fingers.I'll tell you it ain't easy.Now I cant blame my shitty grammar on a handicap..thats all me.
I just sort of feel Empty right now.
DU has some of the most Wonderful People I have ever chatted with.And I made so many friends here.
But it does have it's share of well Smart Ass's also.
Any ways fear not no one has seen the last of me..I love it to much here.
But sometimes love isn't enough.
Anyone that wishes can Pm me I will check my messages daily.
But I need to take a small break from here.

12. Don't allow Grammar Nazis to chase you off

You know what.. to hell with them. Essentially when someone behaves in such a fashion it's all about their egos, jealousy and just simply nastiness.

You have to try to remember they are entitled to think what they want, and you do not have to respond to their ridicule, by doing so you feed into their ego that what they said is valid.

It is not. (see that Ill do it on purpose just to drive them crazy!)

Kindness if far better then a comma any day!

Btw I was one of those people who you helped with that thread! I thought it was very generous of you to include us newbie loungers

That thread you started yesterday was an absolutely inspired thing to do. Who ridiculed you? Sweetie, don't let a few people spoil it all, but you've gotta just shrug it off and remember that the rest of us love you. I know, I know -- easier said than done. If you feel like you have to leave for a while, we'll miss you. I'll miss you. Please don't stay away too long.

and you can not be thin skinned about people who like to poke and jab. A break can be good if you're honestly feeling attacked, but hey, if you like to come here every day / or night / just continue, lighten up, and be happy you have connections here who care if you stay or go! I think that's cool! Nobody knows or cares who I am, unless I pissed them off in the immigration threads (I am NOT a Racist!)

I haven't tried to connect up too much here but I see it can be more than a place to pass the leisure hours reading about what America has on its mind. So I hope you stay. Or, take a **short** siesta to clear out your own mind and heart, sometimes that does help.

I don't post very often in your threads -partly because a lot of them seem to be picture threads and I'm shy about posting my picture- but I have thoroughly enjoyed and valued reading them.

I think you are a genuinely warm and sincere person -the type we need more of on DU. I appreciated your effort to make other DU'ers not mentioned in various threads feel included and valued -it shows what a considerable and thoughtful person you are

Who cares about your grammar or spelling or whatever? BTW, I'm sorry that you lost your right index finger in a work related accident. But regardless of all that, it is what is in your heart that counts and not the quality of your grammar/spelling. And I can tell that you are really a genuinely nice and caring person through your posts and all the spelling and grammar mistakes in the world cannot hide that fact and isn't that what counts in the end? Yet, I have been in your predicament before and know precisely what you are going through :hug:
