For our friends in Louisiana, Mississippi, and everywhere who were affected by the terrible destruction of Hurricane Katrina. May your lives heal and peace prevail... We remember you today, and every day.

2. May those who failed our people and our country be brought to justice
Those who allowed the aftermath fester into this disgraceful denial of basic human needs must be held accountable. If our country fails to do this we have failed as a society. Perhaps we already have. :cry:

To all those who lost loved ones, their homes, their livelihoods - my heart is with you today.

Special thoughts today to Merh and Maddy who lived through the hell. :hug:
