Are there "holes" in threads?

What if they reply to your threads? Does the thread post count go up?

Do you see dead people?

I'm curious about this "other" world on DU but Im not ready for it yet.

2. not holes
you see that there is a response, but instead of a user name, you see "ignored"

and you don't see any threads started by that user.

4. You see "ignored" instead of a username.
I only know this because I accidentally had people on ignore once. Whoops.

5. if you have someone on ignore
where their username would normally be you would see "ignore". also, if they start a thread you would not see it.
