Good Monday Morning, Crew!

:donut: :hi: Here we are at the beginning of another week. How was your weekend? We had a busy one, for sure. We went over to the new property both days and worked on cleaning up the huge rocks at the driveway entry. It was very interesting to see the contours as we dug the dirt and clay off. We felt like we were uncovering dinosaur bones. Yep, I took "before" and "after" shots, but haven't gotten a chance to upload them.

Needless to say, we're both bone tired and sore. Harleydad said he needed to go back to work today so he could get some rest.

So, crew, it's time to rise and shine and get this day started. :bounce: :grouphug:

15. It's going to be great seeing you again!

This has been an eventful summer! full of surprises most of 'em weren't good ones either! I hope that's all past me now! Damage control takes a lot of self control and waste my precious energy. I should be having fun doing Hoochie Mama things while I can!

I'm REALLY getting excited now. I mean (if I can explain clearly while I'm still wiping sleep out of my eyes) the excitement is growing and I can hardly believe the time is almost here! :bounce:

Edit: Oops. I thought you were talking to me. Told ya I was still wiping sleep out of my eyes. Well, anyway, I am excited! :bounce:

Edit again: Spelling checker works better than just trusting my own sleepy eyes.

47. In my family,
it's my mom. I'll never forget how fast my sibs called me after the 2004 election, saying, "Mom says you're really upset about the election results." I mean, it was within hours! :wow: Of course, they all thought it was ridiculous to get so upset about politics, and I got a lecture about it from every one of them. :banghead: Most of them helped put and keep those crooks in power. (Have I mentioned how unlike my family I am? I think they switched babies in the hospital.) Anyway, I pretty shocked at how fast the word got out that I must be out of my mind, etc.

10. My head has been spinning this summer!

I've only been home for 2 weeks at a time. That's barely long enough to wash my clothes, refill my prescriptions and give my featherhead enough love so she won't forget me.

It's going to be in the 60's at night in the north and 90's during the day in the south. We are sure to get a bit of rain while we're in Richmond because Ernesto looks like it's going to head up the east coast.

I was starting to get worried that I might bother you because that trip is all I can think and talk about these days.

I haven't tried anything yet from the stuff my mom brought me. But I might have me some toast with honey this evening. I love honey.

I have olive branches from Italy already. And now they were so sweet to bring me two from Crete. One even with some olives on it. I dry the branches and have them hung up.

Wilma did it for me ... that was the one that kicked us in the butt and got us moving towards getting out of there. Just getting prepared, even if nothing happens, is a huge stress. We were lucky we didn't have any major damage, but it was still shocking how much damage was done in the area.

31. Good morning, buddhamama!
:hi: Whaddaya mean you wouldn't trade yours for mine? You mean digging in the dirt (in the sun, by the way) and getting filthier than you've ever been in your life doesn't sound like much fun to you? :wow:

Did you do anything? Or just relax and read a book under a tree or something? :bounce:

You have a great day, too! :bounce: :loveya:

i have had a change of mind, your weekend sounds pretty good, too. I love playing in the dirt!

I grooved and hung out! I am currently re-reading Vonnegut, in order of publishing dates.

thanks, dear !

42. Actually,
as dirty and tiring as it was, it was very interesting and fun. But my poor hands can hardly type this morning from being so sore. :P

Grooving and hanging out is a great way to spend a weekend! And reading! I hope you have more weekends like that!

45. Morning Airmensmom!
What a pleasant surprise to see the morning thread! Sounds like you and harleydad had a great weekend, getting dirty together

My weekend was uneventful. Did some rowing and bike riding, cooking, and just relaxing the rest of the time.

:hi: :loveya:

50. There you are!
:hi: :loveya:

I skipped out of the morning thread on Saturday ... didn't think anyone would mind. I think the last time I posted was Friday mid-afternoon and then I didn't come back until this morning. That's how busy we were! Yep, getting dirty together is always fun.

Uneventful weekends can be great! :bounce: I like the relaxing part. I'm thinking about doing that today. :D

It's good to see you! :hi: :pals:

51. Well, after the weekend
that you had, you certainly deserve a little R&R!

I'd best get to work now so I can earn those big bucks.

Catch you later!

:hi: :loveya:
