1. One of the best lines of the night

I was kind of hoping that they were going to follow up on the Bob Newhart thing at the end....

2. They did, sort of

The brought out Bob (not in the box) to present the award for best comedy sries. Conan told him that in a phone-in poll, 52% of callers wanted him saved. Bob said, "So you mean 48% wanted me dead?" Conan said, "No, only 42% wanted you dead. 6% had no opinion." Bob said, "So you mean 6% of the people actually picked up the phone and called in to say they had no opinion whether I lived or not?" These are not the exact words, but that was the meaning.

3. The introductions to the comedy writers award was hilarious, too.

Colbert had all bears for each writer, TDS had an underwater presentation a la Blaine, Letterman had a Spanish Springer free for all, and Bill Maher used the pics of all RW gas bags. :D

He handles all the stuff the negative stuff people say about him in stride :D
