7. I had the best time with them in a dive
It was great - banging beers on the table, knocking them together,
not caring if they shattered - it was the best!

5. damn....
reminds me...story time...

When I was roughly 10 years old my father and I were fixing the bilge pump on the back of the house, cause water was leaking in the basement. So, my father opens the hatch to the bilge pump, and we are hit by a nauseating smell....my father sticks his gloved hand into the mess, and yep...he pulls out a dog skeleton. We had no idea how it got in there, but we thought the neighbor kids threw the dog in there on purpose for mean purposes...any time I think of bilge pumps, or sump pumps, I think of that...dog skeleton, it was very nasty...and guess who had to clean it up...thats right, me, petersond...

8. Bilge pumps and dog skeletons YIKES!
And my memories of bilge pumps have always been just using them when sailing on a lake.

You have now and forever more changed my memory association regarding bilge pumps.

6. The only time you can appreciate a bilge pump is when you need it.

Thankfully, I've never needed mine.

16. The tank I crewed in the Army had a bilge pump.
It was for removing water that leaked down into the sub-turret floor. The outlet spigot was on the side of the tank. If you were really pissed off at someone, and he was standing next to the tank, you could turn on the bilge pump and soak him with some really nasty water!

Of course, I never did such a thing. :hide:
