1. Was this Genuine Mr Hankey Christmas Poo or some off-brand christmas shit?
When I'm dictator there will be no Christmas decorations or sale stuff in stores until after Thanksgiving and playing Christmas carols over the loudspeaker will result in the death penalty except within the month of December.

8. ...
"It is with great reluctance that I have agreed to this calling. I love democracy... I love the Republic. The fact that this crisis is demanding I be given absolute power to rule over you is evident. But I am mild by nature and have no desire to destroy the democratic process. The power you give me I will lay down when this crisis has abated, I promise you. And all I ask in return is when my current term of office is over, you allow me to retire and live out my life in peace."

2. Well It's About Time!!
We've been waiting!! Get the good stuff NOW before it's all picked-over and shelf-worn. Cards, candy, lawn ornaments, wrapping paper, gift boxes, tissue, lights, figurines, snow-globes, mantle hangers, garland.... I can't wait!

But you're right, they are pushing it a little... they could have at LEAST waited until September. (But then again, it's been "back-to-school" since June.)

Can you imagine what it must be like to work at one of those Christmas-Mouse stores or Santa's Workshop stores? Christmas ornaments, decorations, music and aromas ALL YEAR LONG??!! --- Those folks must really LOVE Christmas, or perhaps by the time December actually rolls around they are so numb to it all that they don't even realize or care anymore. (I couldn't do it... although the in-store employee discount might be nice.)

7. They pay decent wages and offer benes
Plus automatic 401K sign up for all employees. So what if it's friggin' Xmas in Aug. Are the prices for merchandise cheaper than November? I wish I had a Costco near me. Instead, I have the evil Walmart near me.

9. YAWN...This isn't news...
I was in Costco this time last year and yes, the Christmas stuff was out then. And the Halloween and Thanksgiving stuff.

You know us Costco-lovers like to stock up before the rush.

10. Actually, the reason for holiday stuff being out now
is other retailers. Costco caters to lots of small businesses. Most small businesses buy before the seasons; at least I did. If I waited till the day before Thanksgiving to buy holiday decorations and merchandise, I would have been much too late.

Craft stores capitalize on holiday displays now because some people like to make their gifts and decorations.

11. I told my hubby about my trip to the craft stores.
Yes, they had Christmas stuff on display as well as Halloween. I saw a flower arrangement with at least a 5foot cat behind it. On its tail were the words, "Scared yet?" (or something like that) The price tag was $99. Those snowglobes that were on some of the lawns: there are now the same globes with a Halloween theme. The price: $99.99.

13. Actually, Bif, they were
especially where the buildings for the Christmas villages were displayed. The Christmas music wasn't played all over the store, thank God.
