I don't know what's for dinner.
And it's driving me nuts.
It's a question we usually have settled by the second cup of morning coffee.
Today it's "I don't know. What do YOU want?"

jeez

1. too funny
I don't know what's for dinner either. But it won't be what I had last night because I'm outa yellow beans. I am supposed to stick stuff in a crockpot today but have managed to put it off so long I may be eating something else for dinner while the crockpot's cookin' up my leftover vegetables which have to be cooked up and used if possible.

Do you ever have stuff in the fridge and that's exactly when you'd rather grab something from a restaurant?

If there's two of ya who can't decide, I think it's Out For Din-Din night!

4. Now it's between meatloaf and eggplant parmesan.
Got a semi-fresh eggplant we need to use up, so I'm voting for that.

6. I had some delicious homemade mac and cheese...
prepared by my best friend. My family has been on vacation for two weeks, arriving home today after a long weekend of driving. My friend had delivered a jug of milk, a loaf of bread, and a homemade mac and cheese for me to pop into the oven. No trip to the grocery store necessary, and no ordering pizza after two weeks of frequent eating out!

9. We went to Minnesota.
I'm a bad DUer and didn't meet up with more than one other DUer, but we were really squeezed for time with lots of activities (normally I go for 3-4 weeks, but we were there for just two weeks this time, a week with my side of the family and a week with my husband's).

My friend also watched the house, took in the paper, watered the plants, and feed and cleaned up after the cat, AND polished my silver coffee service & salt/pepper set! She's a rare gem.

12. i'm glad you got to go home - though sorry it was so rushed
and holy cow - that is one fantastic friend.

my parents recently moved back to town, and we'll be going over to water their plants while they're in Europe for the next two weeks. i don't think i'll polish their silver though. ;)
