15. MD Blue crabs!!

I have lived in the Annapolis area my whole life and am a Chesapeake bay blue crab lover! I really missed them the last 2 years :(
The crabs from the bay have been so depressing the last couple of years. Unfortunately, most have to be imported from the Gulf because of over crabbing in the bay.
Hopefully the bay will be stocked up in a couple of seasons.

I'd never eaten crabs 'til I moved out here. I can't pick 'em (too tender-hearted) but if I don't see 'em in the shell I sure can eat 'em. Mike's American in Springfield VA makes the best crab cakes I've had to date... where else should I try them? (I live in Waldorf, Charles County.)

The best crabcakes in Annapolis, in my opinion, are at phillips. I love their Traditional style crab cakes, a little on the spicy side.
There are a lot of resturaunts here that have them, and honestly i cannot think of any bad crab cakes I have had.

On second thought---Mikes seafood house in edgfewater had good crabcakes.
