Poll question: In regards to television censors,
e.g. the difference between shows like "Are You being Served?", "Family Guy", "Match Game PM", "Three's Company", "Laugh-In", the nightly evening news, et al... they all follow at least one of the following choices, but always one more than the others.

Which one is the best way to live in regards to television censors? (mind you, this post is half-meaningless unless you're a TV writer, producer, or actor...)

1. Interesting question...
My first thought is to break down walls while remaining tasteful. But clearly, to some people, the walls are the delineation between good and poor tastes.

2. When writing comedy, I usually find tasteful to be funnier than tacky
That's one reason I love (aka obsess over) British comedy, and AYBS is a favorite.

That said, sometimes raunch is just fitting, and I'm not above laughing at filth -- as long as it's funny!
