Life can turn in an instant
This morning, I was at a friend's dropping some papers off. I got home and 5 minutes later, she calls in tears. Her dad had been rushed to the hospital. I went over and opened her store for her and worked all day. 7 hours later, she calls and her father's dead.

Make sure that people who matter to you know it.

11. WE'RE survivors.
Fuck that...we're beyond survivors. To say we're 'survivors' makes it seem like we're barely hanging on by our fingernails.

We're good and we're only gonna get better.

We're like the very best wine...

17. That's what I thought......
Please give her my condolences, will you?

I don't want her concerned about whether or not she gets in any more of those signs, either......

That can wait till things settle down........not a priority, OK?

As are you........

She'd do the same for me.

I'm heading for bed. The store can't close unfortunately. It's her only income right now, so I'll open and work tomorrow to.

Y'all have a good evening. And remember,

that's very kind. What happened yesterday is a part of life, painful as it is sometimes. It's a wake-up call for those of us who believe there'll always be another chance to say what we feel.
