I knew that "Bizarre Love Triangle" rang a bell but I couldn't place it. Interesting cover.

Here's a Fiona Apple song/video that I watched over and over the other night, major end of relationship song:

she is such a prodigy. I think she wrote those songs in her teens and some of them just blow me away. There are lines in "Shadowboxer" that I was in my thirties before I would have had the self-awareness to write. I think she's a really old soul.:hi:

23. This was not the first rendition I had seen
But in this one, I noticed that when she lets off on "know nothing about hard work" her chest got red, which means she really put herself into the anger, and let it happen.

Our president sucks...and this song is a great example of his miserable failure. Pink sings it all.

38. really cute!
I was gonna post a hot link but they disabled the right click which drives me utterly freaking insane!!!! Over a parrot picture???? Get a grip.

Do you have parrots? I used to have a green cheeked conure but he died. I now have a cockatiel. My conure was miserable for most of the time that I had him even though he was allowed time out of the cage alot of the day and I had a screen porch for him to be on too. I strongly suspect he was wild caught. My cockatiel is totally hand raised and is not a good flyer at all, his wings were clipped the whole time he was growing I think and he never properly developed the muscles. I guess that's the proper way but I don't like it. If he flies too much now he gets very exhausted and pants really hard. My conure could fly like the Brown Bomber or the Red Baron, he was like a torpedo.

39. Not anymore
I've had cockatiels and a Moustached Parakeet. (I love the look of them, but they aren't particularly cuddly birds)

Once I move out of my present accomodations (hopefully very soon), I'm going to get another one - a Senegal or a Meyers. I love parrots. :hi:

40. that is the most beautiful bird!!
I have never seen one like that before.

I know why cockatiels are so popular, because my little guy is the best-natured little tyke ever. He was given to me by someone who had cats and they were afraid the cats would get him because he didn't have an adequate cage. He was only my second bird, the conure being the first...the conure bossed him around all the time because Connie (the green cheek) was so dominant. Chicken Little handled it well, but now he is king of the mountain being alone and I don't want to bring another bird in on him and knock him out of top position. I have a mini-lop and they stay in my cabin together all day. They never have bonded like I though they would but I do think they like knowing the other is there.

I really would like to have some gouldian finches...but I have sworn to myself *no more exotics* once the two that I have pass away. My mini-lop came from an animal shelter and he is six years old, so he probably has another few years at most. My cockatiel is quite young, I hope he will be around another 20-25 years but you never know. He is an extremely hardy bird...he deals well with the extremes of temperature in my cabin where it can be 80 in the summer or 60 in the winter; it doesn't seem to phase him at all but that's probably because he came from less than ideal circumstances where he was actually stuffed in a corner and his cage was covered 24 hours a day...it was pitiful.

42. Poor thing...
:-( I'm so glad you have him now, where he can be taken care of.

I agree, cockatiels are very agreeable and hardy birds. Mine had at least 7 or 8 moves with me, and it didn't faze him at all. He used to know about 2 weeks before I started packing, though...he'd get antsy and just know another move was imminent.

My cockatiel was so much fun; he used to have a little game with his 2 small latex dinosaurs (which were slightly bigger than him; the T-Rex was his favourite). He would grab it, flip it over, walk to it, bop his head and make a little "take that!" noise; then repeat it all across the living room. It was hilarious...

He was also pretty intuitive. After my ex and I would have a tiff, he would always do something silly to break the tension - it would make us both laugh.

I had only had him for a few months when I got a terrible flu; I remember laying on the chesterfield, and the cage door was open. He climbed out of the cage, down it (it was a standing one), walked across the room, climbed up the chesterfield and sat on my head, preening my hair and eyebrows. I thought it was so cute, that it was his way of comforting me.

MPs are incredibly beautiful. Mine was a rescue; he had been neglected, and was almost wild when I got him. I named him Rev after Reverend Jim from Taxi - he used to swing upside down from the top of his cage and mutter to himself. That's completely normal, but to outsiders, he looked completely insane. LOL

44. LOL
I know my bird could be said to be crazy, he fights with his play gym at least once a day. I have to yell at him to get him to stop.

He also likes to sleep on my head. I wake up with bird shit in my hair on a regular basis. Normally he only does this in winter, he uses my head as a foot warmer.
