Cripes, are people really this lazy?
Saw a shopping cart left abandoned near an apartment door just kitty corner to a Safeway. Not 100 feet. (a few apartments over from me)

(I know because I returned it for the lazy slob)

Are people really this lazy?

Sorry, but annoying little things like this get to me.

1. I'm lazy as hell
I am even thinking of getting me a respirator because I'm too lazy to breathe.

3. Me, too
I go to W**M*** once a month to refill my meds.

They have cart corrals all over the place. Do
people use them? Hell no! (oh, shit I'm sounding
like Rummy).

:grr:

7. it's always the little things that get me.........
it's maybe that I want to live in a nice area, not some dump littered with trash, shopping carts, and people who don't take pride in anything.

this area is really getting cleaned up and there seem to be nice people here. Hope the few slobs don't ruin it for everybody.

8. My father in law used to live in an apartment and kept a shopping cart
right by his door for when he went to the drugstore... It drove me nuts.

12. Last week....
I saw two perfectly healthy looking, able-bodied people carting away with 2 tiny bags in a cart.

Two bags, two people....I thought, maybe they each could have held a bag?

I don't know, I'm OBSESSED about this, but I hate it. In my last apartment the neighbours would bring this things inside the building and leave them right outside my door.

not exactly pleasing to the eye to look at all the time. It's right up there with my neighbor across the street...who kept a lazy boy on the side of his house for 3 months. :grr:

21. oh, the sofa dumps..........
which are dangerous and a fire hazard (punks like to set them on fire).......sometimes people with trucks dump their trash in autobins.

I work with the city, I hear all kinds of crap. People can't spend 10 bucks to get the city to haul away all their big items so they dump their large items/building materials etc, outside apartments. I've heard and kind of saw it being done here.
Can't wait for the snitch line. (LOL)

9. How about dropping off items any old place in the store
because they decided to get something else, instead of putting stuff back, or telling the cashier they decided not to get it so it can be put back . It's especially bad if it's supposed to be refrigerated or frozen, so the store has to throw it away .

15. ok, so here's my dilemma in that situation
you get to the front of the line at the grocery store and realize you picked up the wrong thing...or maybe you really shouldn't splurge on that bottle of wine...so do you hold up the rest of the people in line while you run it back, or do you sheepishly give it to the cashier with apologies?

17. either or.....
depending on how fast you can run.......

but the people who leave frozen stuff, say, in the soup aisle, are just wasting good food.

If you leave something with the cashier, they can get it returned to the right place. (if it's still fresh or frozen of course)

18. progmom, you'd be doing the right thing to give it to the cashier
I meant putting it back or giving it to the cashier are good, leaving it somewhere else is lazy.

11. well...
I know that many of my fellow college students have used shopping carts to move their shit-- so it may not be an issue of laziness.

But in all likelihood, it is :(

all I ask. I mean, just leave it outside the door? They couldn't take one minute to return it.

So, the answer to your query is, yes, people are really that lazy. :)

26. Heh...for a lazy person, I actually do get some things done.
But, things like housework and yardwork, I tend to put off as long as possible. I also waste a lot of time doing nothing much productive.

It makes sense if you don't want to buy the jars of peanut butter and jelly. I don't because it would take years for me to use them up.

28. Yes, people are that lazy
They park at the curb in front of the store (which is illegal) because they are too lazy to find a spot in the parking lot and walk from it.

They leave their cart in the parking lot and let it potentially damage cars because they are too lazy to take it to the corral (which may be as little as five feet away).

They throw their trash and cigarette butts out their vehicle windows because they are too lazy to dispose of them in an appropriate manner.

Etc, etc.

Yes indeed, people are that lazy.

People seem to be both lazy and stupid. It's nice to know I'm not alone in thinking that. :)
