9. Ah, can't take the scripture too literally.

While it does suggest girding one's loins in truth, wearing a breastplate of righteousness and carrying a shield of faith, the thing on the head is supposed to be a helmet of salvation. I suppose asking a girl to wear a helmet would not mesh with the notion that she's submissive to males, because that thing is clearly a veil.

The designer also flubbed on a couple of other elements. To complete the outfit they need slippers of peace and a sword of the Holy Spirit. They may be wearing peace slippers but where's the sword?

11. The lectionary text for tomorrow is the "armor of God" passage

from Ephesians. I think I've found me a sermon illustration..."This is NOT what the text is referring to".
