I am so lonely...
Edited on Fri Aug-25-06 11:48 PM by CarolinaPeridot
Honestly I am so lonely ... I have everything I need except friends that I can trust. That's the one thing I wished for on my birthday. And no one in my family wished me a happy birthday - damn wtf ? They are the ones who have known me the longest.

4. You have friends
Edited on Fri Aug-25-06 11:50 PM by MoseyWalker
they come from all sorts of strange places. They could be unexpected friends that are part of your family, they could be from classes you take, they could be your neighbors, they could be anybody.

They are here, I will guarantee you. There are good people here who will not let your birthday go by without a

Oh yeah! I wish you a happy day!

I do!

8. Sometimes I just feel out of place.
I don't curse really loudly ,I dont' drink,I don't go to clubs.I don't sleep around and I am not wild.I wish I could meet people around my age that understood me. The only people that do understand me seems to be people who are lot older than me. I have'nt had friends since HS and I am 26 now - 8 years. Fuck myspace - those people don't know me. Since I have gotten better in February, I now know who my real friends are and who I really don't need in my life. I ask every not in my prayers before I go to sleep to please surround me with positivity and to take all of the negativity out of my life. Its like I have a car but I don't have anywhere to go. I think I am about to go to walmart and just read some magazines. Oh what fun.

14. Hope
When you walk on Mother Earth, tread softly. She has a dented spirit which needs healing.

She is as lonely as a lone pine tree in a desert, for lack of those who turn to her for her love. Who in turn go to her realm to give her love.

She is a Nurturer and Creator, but no longer do the people hear the lullaby at night as she sings all creatures to sleep. Nor do they feel the warmth of her caresses at dawn and sunset or hear her words of wisdom on clear moonlit nights.

She is at one with all creatures large and small, and they attune themselves to her heart beat, all except mankind.

They are so concerned with surviving in this world that they build concrete and steel, dam rivers, fill the air with toxic fumes and metals, and block out the Creators energy with rays that slowly kills all that lives on the surface of the planet.

The seas and all the waters are contaminated and her animals are hunted, and her plants are destroyed, not just for food but for self gratification and so called sport, or to build a temple to the god of sex in their lives.

Mother Earth weeps with sadness and pain for she must do what is needed for this planet to keep it in harmony with the Universe. This might mean using the so called "natural disasters" to call heed to her needs.

Yet, still few hear her cry, for all to listen to her. Many love her and all that she is, yet even though they rise up and speak to others to care for her, they do not ask her to reveal herself to them.

She is a sentient being with a Soul, a Body, a Heart Beat, and Love, Joy, Beauty, but now also Sadness and Pain.

She is able to communicate and will do so if you truly believe in her and love her. She has her own form of communication which has no need of language, yet you will know what she is asking and giving you, not in words, but in feelings.

It is not just the gifted but all who should be embracing with open arms, the Love of Mother Earth. For then, there will be more happiness on Earth.

21. Ballroom dance classes have done wonders for me........
I'm bald, heavy and not the greatest looking guy around. All I have to do is show up smelling fresh, smile and be very polite. And tadaaa, sweet young things smile at me, chitchat and take me for a turn around the dance floor.

Shortage of guys in ballroom dance clases but they tend to be sober and polite. I've even seen the odd handsome single guy. Give it a try.

5. Oooooh...I'm sorry you are lonely.
When ever I think about loneliness, in a philosophical sense, I remember I poem I read once about solitude being like the darkenss...it takes your eyes awhile to adjust, but once you do...

Well, sorry I don't know the whole poem, and I don't know where that book is at the moment. I'm not really helping very much am I? I think I'll stop now. :pals:

7. Happy belated birthday!
I relate to not having relatives one can trust. I could be shipped off to Iraq and die from an IED and my two sisters would probably shrug and walk away.

Good friends will come in time - I promise! Just make sure to nurture those few that carry a good heart.

9. I have friends I can trust...
although we don't get together as much as I'd like. No, it's family I can't trust right now. Which almost seems worse than not having any friends, because I feel very isolated in my own house.

I really hope some friends come your way. I know it's comforting to come to DU when you're feeling lonely, but it just doesn't replace personal contact.

10. sorrry to hear that.
I always like seeing your user name because I'm also a Carolina peridot, lol. Happy Birthday to you. In a few hours I will be another year older. I wish my family would forget about my birthday; I didn't want a party or anything like that but they are having a cookout and of course I have to attend even though I am a vegetarian and don't eat cookout food. I think they just wanted an excuse to have a cookout, lol.

It's a freaky time right now I think, something with the stars is going on or something. Hope you feel better soon.

16. I am sorry you are feeling so down. :(
But you know, you could list all of the reasons to be happy.

I will start:

1. 28 months until Bush is GONE!!!

2. The Dems will take back Congress in a little over two months.

3. You are still alive and able to reach out to us.

4. Right now Britney Spears is not recording another album.

...your turn!

18. Happy Birthday...
My birthday was today&, I am a Carolina girl! I have been through periods when I felt alone, I know how bad it feels. There are many people out there who feel the same way, I have been lucky to run into a few people who was interested in the same kind of things I was by visiting shelters, rest homes & other places where kind volunteers were. Through the years I have made good friends who cared about helping others, we started clothes closets for the schools & rest homes. I don't know you but if people are Du they are usually have kind and loving hearts. I wish you the best of everything and I hope this year leads you to meeting wonderful people, again, happy birthday!

22. I know the feeling.
My family at least remembered, but it was so low key that I felt like they were saying birthday instead of happy birthday. *sigh*
