Its been hard loving Countdown as much the last month or so with almost no KO and a lot more stories the producers are making them cover.

So Keith has some time off in late August. I agree -- Unger isn't as good as Keith and I miss Keith a great deal. But wasn't he on last night and earlier this week? The management really can't do news re-runs.

Americans in general don't have enough vacation time (not talking about President Bush here...)

If you were in France, I bet the newscaster you watch would have THE WHOLE MONTH OF AUGUST OFF...

he suffers. It requires him to take time off occasionally, too, I've read.

3. I don't know where you heard that from.

He has very mild celiac disease, but to my knowledge, while it affects his diet somewhat, it doesn't normally affect his work schedule.

Nah, he's been in Los Angeles the past two weeks (as has been Brian Unger, actually). No idea why he took tonight off. Probably for social reasons.

All we know is, he's going to the Emmys, and supposedly flying back to NY on Monday.
