3. That's a good album
And not a bad copycat, but it is a little too predictable. You are starting to slip my friend. I hope you get back up to speed soon.

5. Someone was. really.
A couple years ago someone posted a "anyone here famous" question and someone said "yeah, I was in a moderately succesful alternative band." At least, I think it was the cult, it might have been a similarly atmospheric band, he said out of Chicago. I think their song was "every day is Halloween."

14. I much prefered Sonic Temple
I thought Rick Reubin's stripped-down production on Electric exposed The Cult's weaknesses (Astbury NEEDS a really wet mix to sound good) in a most unflattering way.

But I always like the raw sound of electric. It just hit hard (A R.R. trademark) But as they say, musical tastes are subjective.

Wow, can you believe that album is almost 20 years old now?

but I'm a sucker for Love. Not quite new wave, touch of psychedelic. Now I have to listen to it when I get home....

19. Love was excellent!
I really dug the sitar-like opening to Rain!

The hieroglyphics motif was cool, too.

20. Phoenix was my favorite.
It's just really raw to me. And Ian Asbury has one of the best voices!
