Going to Carolina Panthers game Sunday -- so excited!!
Ok, I confess, I wasn't a football fan until my husband "converted" me. I've never been to any sort of football game in my life, not even college (except the REAL kind -- soccer). Now I'm just to the point where I can tell the difference between a kick and a punt :) But what I lack in knowledge, I try to make up for in enthusiasm!

What should I expect? I'm so excited! By the way, I'm one of those sports fans who jumps up and down and screams loudly so enthusiasm is not going to be a problem.

Should I paint my face blue?

2. Detroit Lions (my hubby says they're not so good)
so this one should be a win!
Thanks for asking!

On an interesting note -- I just noticed that my avatar changed retroactively -- cool!

3. They had a bad season
But I can assure no team in the NFL is a rollover, like all the other teams they have to prepare, scheme, etc so they would have a good chance to win. Plus the Panthers won 7 games by 3 points or less so they aren't exactly rolling over opponents either. But Carolina should win but I wouldn't be surprised if they don't.

5. Should be a win for the home team!
I've been to ONE NFL Game. The 1980 Pro-Bowl (following the 1979 season) in Hawaii (we lived there at the time). I don't remember a whole lot as I was 11, but it was fun nonetheless. This is the 25th Pro Bowl in Hawaii. The one I went to was the first. I feel old now. :P

Amendment: I went to an NFL pre-season game once: Oilers vs. Cowboys. That was OK, but all the good players only played a quarter.

6. Have fun!
I've never been to a professional or college football game in my life, so I don't know what to tell you to expect.

But have fun!

8. I'll be at the Bear/Redskins game myself.
Can't wait to see the inside of New Soldier Field.

Enjoy yourself.

Any other DU'ers gonna be at a game?

10. Panther Fan Here
I'm in Asheville. Went to a game in Charlotte two years ago. Nice stadium, plenty of concessions and bathrooms. If it's windy, bundle up cause if gets pretty cold in there. I didn't have that problem the day I went, I got to sit in one of the luxury boxes as a company perk.

Went to 4 games their first year when they played at Clemson stadium. My friend had tickets on the 50 yd line two rows up. That was fun.

In pro games, the fans don't get into it as much as college games IMO, but they're still fun.

Go Panthers!
