2. Bah, clearly you missed the "Pipers Pit" with Cyndi Lauper and Capn Lou!
that was the Shakespeare of wrestling filler.

4. Bah......
when Piper told Snuka about the ugly women in Fiji Islands "my friends and me only kissed them when we needed a napkin"

and finished it by cracking a coconut on his skull....

a pinnacle moment was reached.

3. true
"You wanna coconut...here's a coconut.....oh look here's a banana...and here's..something else...<hits Snuka over the head with a pineapple> There's yer pineapple...

Snuka gets the crap beat out of him, Piper trashes his set, throws Snuka through the wall. Snuka gets up and chases Piper into the back.

Awesome, awesome moment. Almost as good as Piper's appearance at Wrestlemania 5 with Morten Downey Jr. when he sprayed him with the fire extinguisher.

5. Don't forget his brilliant performance in the film, "They Live"
"I am here to kick ass and chew bubble gum... and I have just run out of gum."

9. Or, his "signature" line as a wrestler. . . .
. . . "Just when they think they have all the answers, I change the questions!"

7. how could wrestling's finest moment...
NOT include an appearance by the Grand Wizard?

http://www.wrestlingmuseum.com/pages/bios/halloffame/wizbio.html

But anything with Rowdy Roddy and Superfly has to rank right up there, no question.

8. I've yet to see anything match the feud...
between Tommy Rich and MadDog Buzz Sawyer. This was back in the early 80's on NWA Wrestling ( the one that was on TBS back then ).

Their fights, both in the ring and out were some of the best I've ever seen, and Tommy Rich, with that blond hair and pale skin was probably one of the best bleeders in the business.

10. I had discovered "good pro rasslin" in college
when they had WTBS (where I grew up, I didn't have cable, but I had the WWF).

Georgia Champ.

Up until that point, I only had the Backlund years through the early "Hogan" years.

When I went to college, I discovered Flair, Orndorff, Capt. Redneck, Dick Slater, etc.

A local newsstand had mags with all kinds of articles about the psychotic Roddy Piper, and how much of a bulldog he was, despite his small stature.

When I found out that he was headed to the WWF, I was excited. I was going to see this firecracker!

And then they only used him for interviews . . .

Vince McMahon sucks.
