Creative DUers! I need a name for a newsletter!
I am suggesting to our director tomorrow that we start sending out a monthly newsletter for Whiskerville Animal Sanctuary, to keep people thinking about us. There are lots of words for newspapers, like Gazette, sun, post, tribune, herald, etc. I can't think of anything that sounds particularly good with Whiskerville, though. Any creative suggestions?

8. I like it!
I was planning on showing the suggestions to the director and letting her choose, but I am thinking maybe we should send it out to our mailing list for a vote!

10. Anything with wildlife in the name should have.....
an image of our animals partying...

Our webteam after a couple beers

Prairie Dog Lara Jo in her Howl-o-ween costume

Summer guarding the beer cooler...

Lara Jo after "one too many"

Higgins after "one too many" (cats have a tendency to overdo it)

21. That is what I was thinking!
The Whiskerville Whippoorwill.

whippoorwill >noun a North and Central American nightjar with a distinctive call.
-ORIGIN imitative of its call.

Perhaps the newsletter can be a "calling." ;)

suddenly it sounded EXACTLY like it was calling out "whip poor will," and I had never heard it so clearly before... I was about 6 years old then.

26. Personally, *I* love it...
and so would our director, but we kinda have some friction between our cat folks and dog folks already, so I have the feeling they would STRONGLY object.

But thank you for the suggestion, and if we ever go 100% feline, that will be purr-fect!

28. LOL!
Edited on Thu Aug-24-06 11:33 PM by Lisa0825
I go out of my way to make sure I take good care of the dog people on our site and the other I deal with, but never even get a thank-you from them... meanwhile, it usually takes a minimum of a few days to a week for them to make any cat changes to the websites they handle (it took WEEKS for them to remove a kitty who had died despite repeated reminders)... But I try to always look at it as - I am doing soemthing good for the DOGGIES, not that I am doing something for a person who doesn't appreciate what I do.

edited to add:

DISCLAIMER: This in no way reflects on dogs or all dog people. It is simply a conflict on a personal level. I still wuv the doggies too!

101 Dalmations, when the dogs send a message by barking all through the towns until it gets to where the stolen doggies were.
