I'm guessing the reason The Boss has been doing things like Devils & Dust and the Seeger Sessions for the last few years, is because he's saving the next big E-Street Band album so it's on the radio - and they're in the stadiums - right in time for the 2008 campaign season.

If Pattie isn't on that tour, I guess we'll know what happenned. But for now, I'll reserve judgment.
