One of my flying cats has been grounded!
I have two flying cats: my Maine Coon mix, and my little Siamese.

Yesterday, I was practicing my great superpower of being able to make cats pass out--you cradle the cat under your left arm with her belly facing you, scratch her back right above the pelvic girdle and gently stroke their bellies, and any cat will pass out in less than a minute--when the Maine Coon decided SHE wanted to be held. Unfortunately for me, I was standing with my back to her.

She took a flying leap at my back.

And missed.

Then caught herself by sinking all of her front claws into the back of my neck.

I made it very clear to her that hanging your twelve-pound fat ass off the back of my neck by your claws is not what we do to the person who feeds you. (Picture Gunnery Sergeant Hartmann chastising a cat.) And now she won't speak to me.

5. Note to self:
Maybe if you stopped drinking water right when you read post replies, you would stop snorting so much.

4. Like ta see ya try that superpower trick with my cat...
she thinks armed cops are snack food. You would need a transfusion at the half-way point in the procedure.

Be nice trick if it could be pulled off with the cop killer cat around here.

Give the sulker a day then open a can of tuna. It usually mends ruffled fur and feelings. ;)

6. She's quit sulking
Her rather severe attention-deficit disorder kicked in about three minutes after I walked through the door today...I get in, set a sack of cat food on the floor and looked up to see this grey lump of fur sailing through the air.

8. I don't think that trick would work on my cat...
...any attempt at a belly rub usually results in shredded flesh.
