Court hears teen's detailed confession in mother's slaying

In a signed confession, Samantha Rodman gave police hours after she fatally stabbed her mother, she detailed how the stabbing occurred and said she wished she could take it back.

The confession, which Rodman signed after it was typed up by a police detective, stated that she was upset because the day before the stabbing she had confided in her mother that her father raped her on Oct. 31, 2003, and her mother at first disregarded her claim, but later threatened to "hurt" her if she mentioned it to anyone else.

The confession states that the teenager, in response to her mother's disinterest in her sexual abuse allegations, decided to "frighten" her mother. The document states the teenager dressed up in her father's clothes and boots and put on latex gloves and covered her head with stockings belonging to her mother.

In the video, the soft-spoken teenager is shown telling a police detective that intruders - a male and female wearing stockings on their heads and carrying knives - attacked her mother. She said the male intruder then tried to rape her while she tried to help her mother fend off the intruders.

I doubt that she didn't mean to cut her mother. Her mother was complacent about her rape. What a helpless state she must have felt herself in.

Others' disinterest isn't just due cause for ANY violence. Period.
